Melt, clarify and prepare beeswax for further processing: this electric wax clarifying tank with a 35-litre capacity supports you in wax processing for beekeeping as well as in the production of beeswax candles and foundation sheets.

The triple-wall stainless steel construction with insulation, the powerful 2,500-watt heater and the indirect heat transfer via thermal oil enable controlled heating. Two separate wax drain taps make it easier to drain clarified wax and settled residues.

Triple-wall design for reduced heat loss

The wax clarifying tank consists of a double-wall inner vessel and an additional outer insulating jacket. The space in between contains the thermal oil, which transfers the heat from the electric heating element to the inner vessel.

The additional insulation reduces heat loss to the surroundings. This supports even heat retention and lowers energy consumption compared with a similar uninsulated tank.

Clarify beeswax and draw it off cleanly

While the liquid wax is kept warm, sedimentary impurities can collect at the bottom. For separate draining, two wax drain taps, each with a ¾ inch connection size, are provided:

• Upper wax outlet: For drawing off the clarified wax above the settled residues.

• Lower wax outlet: For draining off the residues and for complete emptying.

The tank base sloped towards the outlet supports wax drainage and makes subsequent cleaning easier.

For candle making and foundation production

Whether casting beeswax candles, drawing candles or preparing wax for foundation production: the wax clarifying tank is suitable for melting, clarifying and keeping beeswax warm.

The desired temperature is set via a mechanical thermostat with rotary control. This allows the heating to be adjusted to the respective processing step. The appropriate processing temperature depends on the type of wax and the casting or drawing method used.

Use as a wax steriliser and decontamination tank

For thermal decontamination, the required temperature throughout the entire wax volume and the specified holding time must be maintained. What is decisive is a procedure confirmed for the device and the respective pathogen.

The thermostat setting does not replace checking the actual wax temperature. Simple melting and clarifying are not equivalent to assured decontamination.

Technical data

Please order thermal oil separately

For operation, approx. 19 litres of suitable thermal oil are required. This is not included in the scope of delivery. Use only a heat transfer medium suitable for the unit and the intended operating temperatures.

Important: The heater may only be switched on after the heat transfer chamber has been properly filled in accordance with the operating instructions. Thermal oil and wax are located in separate sections of the container.
