CO2 Varroa tester – Effective control of Varroa mite infestation

Scope of delivery:

✅ 1 Plastic cylinder with sieve insert and two plastic lids
✅ 1 CO2 dispenser for easy application

Operation:

1. ✅ Remove bees: Remove approximately 200 bees from the brood frame (be careful not to catch the queen).
2. ✅ Put bees in the tester: Place the bees in the plastic cylinder.
3. ✅ Stun bees: Add CO2 gas to the tester to anesthetize the bees and mites.
4. ✅ Counting mites: After 10-20 seconds, gently shake the tester for about 10 seconds. The Varroa mites fall through the grid and can be counted.
5. ✅ Reset bees: The stunned bees wake up again after a short time and can be returned to the colony without harm.
